The Full Map of Yerevan's Memorial Plaques
I have a strong interest in memorial plaques as a form of urban sculpture. For many years, in different cities, I considered creating a complete catalogue of plaques, but ultimately chose to do so in Yerevan. Yerevan can rightfully be called a city of memorial plaques: my map currently includes more than 600 plaques, and the number continues to grow. To compile it, I walked across the entire city, including districts far from the centre, photographing and recording the location of every memorial plaque I encountered.

The full project can be viewed on a dedicated page here.
The core element of the project is an interactive city map based on Google Maps, which displays markers for all identified plaques. Clicking on any marker reveals detailed information about the plaque:
- a photograph;
- the original inscription (typically in Armenian or Russian);
- an English translation of the inscription;
- a biography of the person commemorated, in English.
The map has both tourist and cultural value and is used by visitors as well as local residents.
