Regular columns

From 2012 to 2015, alongside my work at Popular Mechanics, I was the editor of the “Time Machine” section in World of Fantasy. The section occupied 12 to 20 pages and consisted of a selection of popular science materials, primarily historical ones.

I myself wrote several dozen articles for the “Time Machine” section, edited more than a hundred articles by other authors, and also wrote a number of editorial columns (“The Future Is Today,” “Chronicle,” and others). I was also responsible for selecting contributors for the section.

From 2009 to 2015, I ran the “Just What You Need” column in Popular Mechanics (also known as “Mr Gadget”)—a monthly overview of new gadgets, devices, and technologies. Approximately 60–70% of the column consisted of client advertising placements; I found and selected the remaining gadgets myself.

In total, I authored 71 instalments of the column.

Interviews

I conducted several dozen interviews with different people and in different languages (the best-known among them, apparently, being Alain Prost, Marcel Christ, Vitaly Petrov, Alexander Pushnoy, Peter Watts, Paul Feig, Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, and Katie Dippold).
